As a CO platinum I always clear BF. On Delta I have weeks where I want to buy and upgrade and they Have all the upgrade seats gone. On every flight. And the cabins are empty. That super firm cap, just doesn't exist the same way at CO. They don't hold as many seats for sale at 3 days. Delta is TOUGHER to get by far. And don't forget the seats are crap in comparison to CO.</font>
Have to agree with Cigarman. When I was an elite on DL, I cleared businesselite most of the time but not every time. So far, in 3 years as an elite on CO, I have cleared every single time (sometimes they've made me sweat it all the way to the 72hr mark but in the end I've always gotten it). Also, on CO every fare is upgradeable (for the lower fare buckets you have to pay a fee plus the miles if the upgrade confirms) so you can always take the lowest available coach fare. On DL, you feel like real schmuck if you paid several hundred dollars extra to be in Y,B,M but your upgrade never cleared.
