This should be plenty of time. Buses are scheduled about every 20 minutes between domestic and international terminals, or you can walk between the terminals (separate buildings) in about 10-15 minutes.
I once arrived in AKL at 5:55 p.m. from CHC (after an extremely late departure) and still made an AKL-LAX flight at 6:30 p.m! Air NZ had requested UA to hold the plane for me - but I would never recommend cutting it this fine. It was very stressful to say the least.
