I have been told that I cannot get boarding passes for the later flight until 4 hours before.
Since I plan on leaving the airport it is an inconvenience to have to come back and wait in line later when it is busier.

are you leaving for your inbound to MIA the night before? that may be the problem.
if so, just go out to ticketing or the ac when you leave the airport and get your CDG bp at that point.
