We live in a country with income disparities resembling third world countries; it's a minor sin for us elites to take advantage of early boarding, put both bags in the bin. (I always want access to my second bag, so I'm not a sinner here, but I see the issue here for the tall folks.)

What gets me are people who hog space putting roller bags in sideways. They should have bought a bag that fits, the FA should force them to gate-check the offending bags. CO of course doesn't dare broach this issue.

Then of course, the poor non-elite holiday smucks have to gate-check legitimate carry-on luggage.

Putting up two bags properly is a minor sin, compared to sideways roller bags. It's one thing to waste gas in your SUV actually driving somewhere, another to burn the stuff in a pit in your backyard because you love to watch the flames.
