I love how how people in this forum can turn non-personal issues and make them personal too, very endearing.

Much like Zadie Smith wrote in the Times, or Telegraph Friday - I happen to think this country has gone to the dogs over the last few yrs or couple of decades...unlike her however, I am not in a position, as a succesful novelist, to simply up-sticks and relocate to a glamorous lifestyle in Manhatten.
