Customs and immigration are two different issues. If I wanted to go to the AC arrivals lounge at LHR, and then go on to another connecting flight to Ireland or another EU country, I would have to clear immigration (and customs?) exit controls at LHR. However, would I have to clear immigration upon entering the next EU country?
