You're right...I should have looked sooner than I did and take that responsibility. I was just most frustrated that in my experiences there has always been a gate change announcement. Coupled with the fact that there were about 5 people sitting at the gate the same amount of time I was (turns out none of them were on my flight though) I just didn't think twice about it. Yeah, tired/sleepy was part of the equation.
