For many, shaving is a daily ritual for the majority of our lives. When I started shaving, I used the readily avaliable products from Gillette such as the Mach 3 and Sensitive Shave Gel. Over the years I have tried shaving creams, shaving gels and shaving soaps, seeking the optimum combination of comfort, closeness of shave and convenience.

My current favourite is Nomad Calming Shave Gel (Crabtree & Evelyn), which has a nice scent without being overpowering. The gel spreads easily when using only your hands (a shaving brush is impratical whilst travelling, a major benefit of using gels) and offers a close, comfortable shave. However, the 150mL aluminium can is excessively bulky for my travels and I now seek an alternative when travelling.

Thus, I seek your collective wisdom once again in my quest for the ultimate travel shaving solution.
