At tonight's PTA meeting I saw a woman whom I know is an F/A for United, and I asked her what she knew or thought about an F/A wearing a rainbow flag pin while on duty. Her take was that meant the F/A wearing it was "on the make" and she said she hates working with people of either gender who spend more time trying to set up dates with PAX than doing their job.
She also said she wears a cross on a chain around her neck, and to comply with airline rules, she has to wear it under her uniform so that it can't be seen. Her thought was that the flag pin would have been a uniform violation.I found it interesting to hear the insider's perspective.
