Wow. Just wow. Its so ironic that the same person who claims to be for tolerance and unity and harmony manages in the exact same post to completely slam the numerous professional flight attendants that happen to be heterosexual.

I truly could not disagree with this statement more. ONLY the FA wearing the flag will understand the desires and needs of Gay travellers??? So therefore straight FA's don't understand the desires and needs of gay travellers?

What, pray tell, ARE the desires and needs of gay travellers that are any different than straight travellers? I wasn't aware that the aircraft cabin was oozing with such sexuality. I just thought all the pax wanted to get from A to B in reasonable comfort and safety. Little did I know that apparently gay travellers want something more!

And wouldn't the converse be true---if ONLY the gay FA understands gay travellers, wouldn't that gay FA therefore then NOT understand the needs of straight travellers because ONLY straight FA's understand the desires of straight travellers????

See, this type of logic does not UNITE...it does the opposite. It divides. It reinforces differences. And so does the pin. On board an aircraft, everyone is equal, at least by cabin. All pax should be treated with respect. Certain messages shouldn't be sent to certain pax. Air travel, with the exception of a F cabin for actual service, is a great equalizer. If a flight is delayed, its delayed for the gay guy, the straight guy, the rich guy and the poor guy on the flight. Why do we have to emphasize DIFFERENCES on board?
