To cut a long story short, do I complain direct to the travel company, or is there an address (email or snail mail) who I can complain to.
I know the airline didn't enforce these changes to my trip - I chose against going to New Orleans and the Gulf Coast Area, due to there being not much left there after the tragedy.
I mean, it';s hardly my fault there was a hurricane, is it?!
Ideas please!!! By the way this penalty fee is $75 admin for airline and around $30 admin for my travel company. Changes in tax will need to be covered too - which I totally understand, but the other bit is a tad harsh!!!
I thought you were going to say 75 GBP!
75 USD is not too bad for a change fee. In fact I think that is now the standard fee for a OWE fare. Many OW carriers charge an extra fee on top of this fee.
Good luck with getting it through your travel insurance - IMHO it is not worth the effort as I am sure the excess will probably be around the same as the change fee.
