I had a very pleasant follow-up from a stay in an Embassy Suites. GM sent me an email thanking for the inputs and describing the specific changes they were implementing around it. They also offered a discounted room and upgrade on next visit. I was very pleased and view the Diamond prompts from Hilton as the one customer service item they have over Hyatt.
I had a follow-up phone call from a GM after my one complaint. No one has ever followed up on my kudos (although I think it shows when I return to a property).
I'm thinking the follow-up comes from the property management, which may not happen if they're the reason it's a screwed up place.
