Earlier in the summer I spent a few weeks in the US and was always good and threw out my lighter before going through security. A couple of weeks later I was leaving Siem Reap airport (a regional airport in Cambodia) and they stopped me at security and asked to see the lighters in my hand luggage. I thought I only had one in my pocket but when they opened my bag they found 8 lighters I had dumped in there over the years. All of them would have been in there during my trips around the US.
