Are the Airtrain/LIRR ticket machines (for purchasing the LIRR ticket with the $5 metro card on the back) located only in Jamaica? Are they inside the airtrain station, so if I'm coming from JFK I should by the ticket when I get the Jamaica airtrain station?

The info on this is vague on the Port Authority web site.
