I use Apple's airport express at full service Marriotts regularly with a Mac powerbook. It couldn't be more simple. Plug in the airport express to an electrical outlet, connect ethernet cable between the Marriott STSN (or whatever service they have) and the airport express, refresh browser on my computer and up pops the Marriott STSN screen to activate Internet access.
