Here in Seattle, the Alaska Airlines pilots must all watch too much "Top Gun" as they love to make hard banks at low(er) altitudes right over downtown on approach to SEA.
Frankly, I love watching them hustle those 737s and MD-80s (the latter being the real hot-sticks), but when compared to the nice, sedate, approaches of UA/WN/DL/AA/NW/US that come in ruler-straight east of Downtown, it does call one's attention.
And while I am sure they are well within FAA altitudes, they always look like they fly a good deal lower than other airplanes.
Course, a few weeks ago a DL 777 came in so low I swear I looked down on it from my high-rise office. *grin*
