Just don't try to count on watching "appointment" shows on on-board TV. There's no built-in DVR, and so when they cut in to make announcements (whether safety announcements or just to point out what you're flying over), you miss whatever was going on while the announcements were happening. With "passive" watching of news, sports, music videos, etc, that may be ok, but don't count on catching, say, an hourlong episode of some drama on WNBC or TNT and not missing a key scene (without which the whole show doesn't make sense).
