We tried a Microdrive in the Axim x50v and it got really crappy battery life.
I forgot about how bad the battery life is with the MicroDrives. Its been a long time since ive owned a PDA with CF.

I would assume that the battery life is going to be about the same. My old Casio BE-300 had a battery life of about 2.5-3 hours with a cf card in and my Dell Axim x30 gets about 3 hours with the SD card in.
