Al-Qaeda is actively trying to recruit males who are, or appear to be, of European extraction in order to thwart any racialized profiling. The group has already succeeded in recruiting males who are/appear to be of African descent, and used them in the London bombings. IOW, no decent or effective security regime would use race as a disqualifying factor in determining whether someone is a terrorist. You probably also won't get anywhere with the age issue - you were old enough to travel unaccompanied.

All of that being said, none of the treatment you received from the FAMs seemed inappropriate. You were allowed to board the flight after receiving modest scrutiny. The FAs ignoring you is a legitimate service issue, however, that may merit a letter to UAWHQ.
