The specific problem is that QF (operated by Jetconnect) will stop flying MEL-CHC on 30 November 2005. From 1 Dec 05 the route will be operated by Jetstar. It appears that BA will not codeshare on the JQ service, so BA7354 stops operating after 27 November 2005 (and in any case, JQ is not a member of Oneworld so that it wouldn't help an xONEx passenger if they did).

As of 1 Dec 2005 the only international QF flights into CHC will be the once-daily QF46 SYD-CHC, although the NZ domestic flights (to AKL, WLG, ROT and ZQN) will still operate. Thus to fly MEL-CHC on an xONEx you'll need to fly via SYD, AKL or WLG, and you'll need at least two coupons.
