Mini Review: Grand Hyatt Seoul vs Hyatt Regency Incheon

I just wanted to post a quick note about these two Korean Hyatt's after staying at them recently...

Grand Hyatt Seoul: Nice hotel, 2 pools, good bar/nightclub in the basement, but the rooms REALLY suck. They are tiny, most have a queen bed and all have a very small TV. I stayed in both the normal room and the Grand Executive Suite (upgraded) and they are both tiny. The suite has to be the smallest suite I have ever been in (it is not a junior suite either)... Breakfast and evening cocktails were quite good, though not as good as other hotels I have stayed at in asia...

Hyatt Regency Incheon: Very nice hotel. Nice view of the Airport. Very nice room compared to the Grand Hyatt! Breakfast in the lounge was better than breakfast at the Grand Hyatt...

If you are flying in late or leaving early, I would definatly stay at the Hyatt Regency Incheon over the Grand Hyatt Seoul, plus this gives another stay for FFN's...

On another note, if you are SPG Platinum, the Westin Chosun is GREAT! They upgraded me to a junior suite with a 42" plasma screen TV and a nice heavenly bed. They offer BVLGARI soap/shampoo/etc in the junior suites and AVEDA in the normal rooms. If it weren't for the fact that I already requalified for platinum and that Hyatt is running FFN's right now, that would be my hotel of choice. Though the Hyatt is more fun with JJ's downstairs... So I guess it depends if you like to stay in or go out
