btw, assuming you haven't bought a ticket to pvg yet, you should consider connecting at an airport that has flights to your final destination. connecting at pek or can isn't fun, and it tends to cost a lot to get from hkg, nrt, or icn to interior chinese cities, but all of these options are preferable to airport hopping in sh imo.
