Well I did a little checking on CO.COM and found there are only 2 empty coach seats unassigned. That doesn't mean there are 2 seats left, just means CO has 2 seats for sale.

More than likely the flight will be oversold. Therefore one of several things may happen. In order of likelyhood.

1.) Any non-revenue passengers will be bumped from the flight. I had this happen to me on a EWR-FRA flight last month. A group of 4 CO employees were removed from the flight to make room.

2.) Volunteers will be asked for at the gate. Since this is HNL and most travelers are on vacation I can see the compensation going up into the high hundreds pretty fast. No one will want to change or delay vacation plans.

3.) Rerouting of passengers to LAX-HNL/SFO-HNL/SEA-HNL codeshares or other carriers.

4.) Several passengers will be bumped to BF to clear up room in coach. There is no rhyme or reason to this. My suggestion is to identify and watch the concierge for the flight. If he/she starts pulling people out of line and handing them new boarding passes, RUN!

5.) Involuntary bumps. If all the above occur and they are still oversold then random passengers will recieve compensation a hotel stay and a flight the next day.

Best advise I can give is to watch the concierge like a hawk. If he/she starts to sweat or scramble jump up and offer your help as a "loyal CO customer".
This has worked for me in the past and I have been able to score BF upgrades. Not often but it has happened.

Good Luck

P.S. There are only 3 BF seats left for sale according to CO.COM.
