CDG is one of the places where I occassionally receive a stamp. I have yet to encounter an immigration official in the EU Schengen countries who wanted to match my entry and exit stamps. Presumably they'd have trouble finding the stamp they want since I have too many stamps, including stamps over other stamps which have made one or both or several hard to read.
That said B747's experience in not getting stamped on exit/entry into Schengen is something that I've encountered routinely. A lot of that has to do with my travels to/from Switzerland -- especially when travel is surface travel.
