Are CR1 BIS miles "true BIS" or "modified BIS"?
Did a search, found good info, but one question remained unanswered:

I know that CR-1s are earned on BIS miles only on UA, etc...

I thought I recalled someone saying that the 500-mile segment minimum DOES apply when calculating CR-1 earnage. Can anyone confirm or deny with a example backed by hard experience?
