Sorry to bother you all again. I just got a message from my partner saying that his British Debit card has expired. In order to pick up a new one he needs to sign for it and that needs to happen in the UK. He's in Japan now. Thanks to the advice I got in this forum I got him a room at Le Meridien through Expedia (meant I could pay with my card and use a £25 voucher). But his not having a valid Visa card may create a horrible problem.

Does anybody know what's the best thing to do in this situation? I'm willing to call up the hotel myself and guarantee him for any additional expenses with my own card, but I don't know if this will be acceptable. He's staying there on the 8th September, which is quite soon. I'd love any advice on this as I am now quite nervous.
