I just got off BA 0025 to HKG, transferring to ICN on CX. What a pleasant surprise to fly on a real airline.
I've heard Sept 5 for "back to normal" but this won't do me any good. I'm dreading the return trip.
BA in Oz have now confirmed that the web site is accurate - contradicts memo they claimed to have yestertday. Although they seem to think that the restricted cartering is to/from SIN on way to London. They were no rebooking passengers as all other aspects of the service were the same, they claimed.
So I have rebooked on to QF009, got 3K, which is an OK seat, and will miss out on 2500 Venture Club points (unless I can persuade them).
Not much of a loss to BA - I cannot imagine they get much from my RTW, but nonetheless, a disappointed customer.
