Remember this is a hypothetical question. I think this can be done and if so, would be circumventing the intent of the rules so I'm only asking out of curiosity.

Let's say I am platinum elite and am flying from A to B with a 3 hour layover in DTW. If I book a DTW - AMS coach ticket in Y class it would give me access to the WC. What if I then cancel the DTW - AMS ticket for a full refund after using the WC but prior to the DTW - AMS flight leaving?

And when I say "I", I mean someone other than me.
