I've never heard of this rule, but that doesn't mean he shouldn't have complied. You must comply with any crewmember instruction, it is the law. Whether this crew member was being citing an official (yet stupid) rule, makeing one up, or just being overzealous on the "electronic devices" rule--you still have to follow what they say. Like I said though, I've never heard of this rule, and used my camera in flgith numerous times.
