Often I agree with your points but this time I disagree. The cabin crew can always say no and if they do, I won't complain, kick up a stink, write letters to CX etc etc etc. I know I am not entitled to it but if I ask and it is given then I don't see a problem with doing that. Probably my attitude comes from being a product buyer for too many years and always trying to get the best I can for the price.

I don't own shares in CX but spend money on them like I do and I don't see a problem of letting the staff know that. Arrogant. Yes, probably. But it's no different than people checking in on flights or hotels and asking if there is a chance of an upgrade. Funnily enough, I don't ever ask for upgrades when checking in!

Yeah, I might be abusing my privilage. I will bear your comments in mind next time and might reconsider before making these requests. However the flip side is that in the past I've had the wrong thing done by me by CX FAs so I began using my status as leverage. Neither of us is right I suppose, just different points of view.
