It doesn't sound like she wants to know WHETHER her upgrade will clear; she wants to know that it WILL clear.

I assume you went through the usual research: What are the loads like on her flights? When is she traveling - midweek or weekend? How flexible are her dates and times? How far in advance is the booking?
