Thinking about which airlines have current news, and seem to be those with a lot of northern hemisphere routes. For "live" news feeds, my understanding is only the northern hemisphere (and then not all of it) has coverage. I dont know how feasible it is to pre-load the news at airport before departure for those routes without coverage.
