Do you have the FedEx tracking number? I wouldnt "hope" that FedEx will reroute it to HNL, but maybe they can do something if you have the tracking number and offer to pay for the reshipment to HNL.
How long were you planning to be in HNL? Without the passport, you wont get on the plane to NRT, so would you rather wait for it at home, or in NHL?
