I love the idea of using labels instead of archiving and organising emails. Windows should work like that. In fact, I'm sure that Google will offer a viable alternative to Windows in the next few years - just look at Google Desktop with the Sidebar and now Gmail with the Talk addition...it's becoming pretty complete...Next step - do your basic computing online without the need of locally installed software (e.g. Word, Excel, etc). Exciting!
Only the very basic Outlook user could switch. You'd still miss Activesync, Exchange connectivity and many other things that (sadly) make Outlook so important.
