According to the guy running our office out there, these cameras (they are mostly on those strange new signs that are never turned on, but there are some standalone installations) are not currently being used for speed enforcement, just to check for stolen vehicles and expired tags. Take a look next time, can't miss 'em, they're everywhere.

I guess the full effect comes later on! However, our guy says that recently he has spotted camera vans on overpasses between exits 15 and 17, and those ARE being used for speed enforcement, as well as the eating/drinking/cell phone check. These are white vans that allegedly can take a usable photo up to a mile away.
