In coach, tray meals are only served on the domestic long hauls out of EWR. (EWR-ANC/HNL/LAX/SFO/SAN/PDX/SNA/SEA/YVR/SJC/OAK). Flights from IAH and CLE to the West Coast, IAH-Northeast, and EWR midcon flights (LAS/PHX/DEN) get the non-transcon 3.5hrs+ service.
First Class (summer):
All meals: Under 2 hours cold plate is served
Breakfast: Hot breakfast sandwich is served with fruit and a bagel or cinnamon roll (2hrs-3.5hrs)
Lunch and Dinner: Salad or hot sandwich is served with hot soup, a warmed dinner roll, and crackers. Separate dessert course usually is a piece of cheesecake (2hrs-3.5hrs)
Breakfast: First course is a fruit plate with a toasted bagel or warmed cinnamon roll, entree is a hot (eggs or pancakes) or cold (cereal) choice, hot choice served with potatoes, bacon, ham, or sausage, cold choice served with milk, banana, and strawberries. After breakfast, fresh baked cookies are offered. (3.5hrs+, non-transcon, IAH/CLE-West Coast, EWR-LAS/PHX/DEN)
Dinner: First course is a salad, followed by entree which is either a hot sandwich or hot prepared dish (lasagna, pasta, meat, fish, etc), served with crackers, a dinner roll, and several sides. Dessert is ice cream sundae for dinner flights, or fresh baked cookies for lunch. (Same as breakfast, but EWR-IAH/AUS/SAT flights do not serve ice cream, cheesecake usually served)
Breakfast: First course is a large fruit plate served with warmed rolls, bagels, and buns with butter and fruit preserves, yogurt. Entree is one of four choices, usually eggs, cereal, french toast, pancakes, crepes, lox, etc. with various sides unique to each menu choice. After breakfast, fresh baked cookies are served, and a fruit, cheese, and cracker service is offered prior to arrival. (Transcon and EWR-Alaska)
