There are several thousand passengers a day who are eligible for the free MB treatments, so they are targetting a 1% service rate -- an interesting business model (and hardly a surprise that it would be a common complaint). As for paid treatments, CX tried that in Hong Kong with the Elemis Spa attached to the Wing. All treatments were paid (and at high prices for Hong Kong); the spa closed after a few months despite having a very high quality service (considerably better than the MB spa).
