It's quite humorous that NW offers the same exact flight (CO metal) for $1600. NW has their own flight out of JFK also for $1600. And if you go onto Orbitz, you can get it for a grand.</font>
Here's an EWR-NRT for this Monday (at this point, less than 3day adv purch): $1369. That's for a flight on Monday, returning a week later.
Say what you want about supply & demand, all airlines (the majors) basically try to take as much money from you as they can, up to the point where they feel embarrased to be charging so much for an airplane ride. I mean, $8000 for a total of 30 hours in the air EWR-HKG? I'm not getting a college education with that flight, too, am I? [I'll pay $1200 for a HoKeY and burn 50K OP miles, and sit next to you.]
