Reading stuff like this makes me want to change my BA F ticket to? Iberia?

All kidding aside, can anyone explain to me what's up with this BA and GG deal? Why can't BA just change caterers? I realize that it takes time to do that but it seems like time is something BA has right now. What does GG have over BA that makes BA play along?
