The IFE entertainement on both is excellent and although EK might have slightly more choice I find SQ's much easier to use. One of the FA's spent most of the flight helping one passenger to use the system.
But to me what really separates the two out is service and here SQ wins by a mile. EK's service isn't bad but I never felt it was anything special whereas SQ goes the extra mile to make sure that it is special.
I just wanted to point out, that EK now has brought a very good produkt into the market. I not want to argue against SQ !
And the feeling were you served better is very personal.
Let me point out one example:
I flew allone between SIN and FRA on SQ, and the service was really superb, I felt to be someone special. In April I did the same flight dayflight SIN-FRA in F with my family 2 adl. +2 kids. The service was not nearly the same, I received when I traveled bevore allone. Not to talk about the service back in the bus we received around 2 years ago.
With EK we traveled one time in economy as a family last year from DUS-DXB and this was one of my best economy flights I ever had in my live ! And now in F the FA´s were rally so friendly and helpfull, explained everything and service was more than exelent.
They had FA´s from 11 different countrys on board speaking 23 different languages! And after a while when the F FA found out we are Germans she called a colleague, who spoke with me in fluently German, he stayed with us around 1 hour and he told me that all new aircraft deliverd will have this new F and C class, and every month they will reconfigure 3 old aircrafts.
