I never found EK's service anywhere near personable, unlike the SQ's, which is always served with a smile. I can't seem to find a negative trip report on Emirates here, but one just have to search on airliners.net's trip reports, to find 2 somewhat recent reports on EK, one in the new F product (by a seasoned SQ traveller), one in Y (by another F class frequent traveller) where both travellers had disappointing experiences. Perhaps the lack of any negative trip reports here, and the presence of two on another forum seems to underline one thing EK lacks that SQ definitely has - Consistency.

While EK has got the more superior IFE now, I would be waiting for the launch of the new First, Raffles and Economy Class products on the A380 (or probably the B777). SQ has set the trend with the introduction of Skysuites in 1997/1998, and I'm pretty confident they will do the same with the new product.
