Sorry but quite new to the miles system. I am wondering if anyone can help.

I am flying to the USA with United from LHR on what they say is a W class ticket. Will I get BMI DC miles (membership & destination) on this? BMI say I should.

The reason I ask is that United say a Full Price economy ticket is the only one which accures miles which I thought did not include W as this is discounted (or so I thought).

I think it is a bit rubbish if you get nothing from the flight when I could go AA, which has more legroom. Although I am beginning to wonder if it is worth getting to Silver / Gold status anyway.
