Fortunately, the TSA has finally gotten a clue in some respects. Metal butter knives are not a security risk. I appreciate your concern for the safety of air travel, but it is offbase in this case.

That said, I prefer plastic knives, because they're generally sharper and more effective when cutting food! Much like metal butter knives, (in most cases) they couldn't be effectively used as a weapon unless altered in some way.

Almost anything can be used as a weapon in some way. Are we going to start requiring passengers to fly nude with absolutely no objects in their possession?
