Is this what you mean by a "printed copy of the award"?
I had an award certificate issued separately from the reservation, and had to give them a hard copy of that. If the award is issued as part of the reservation, the award number is on the reservation and they require a hard copy of that. In the past it was sufficient for them to have the number of the award cert, but now they want a copy from the guest.
