Quick question for those experienced with domestic flights on AR - I noted that AR has a 5kg carry-on weight restriction for domestic flights. How strictly is this enforced (e.g., do they have the big mandatory scale at the gate?)?

My struggle is that i usually only have a small rolling carry-on bag, but it's packed with electronics (laptop, camera, video camera, Bose headphones, blackberry, AC adapters, etc.) so it's usually waaaay over 11 pounds, despite it's small size.

Also, can anyone confirm if the "$4.00" excess weight penalty is AR$4 per kg or something else (doubt it's a flat fee and hoping it's not $US)?
