I had a nightmare last year when someone checked into the Mission Hills resort under my name. (I had a reservation there a month later) Not only was the room charged on my credit card but the lucky scrounger even got my platinum upgrade. After several weeks from when I found out and many apologies I got things corrected to my satisfaction.

What my point is, is that I was told that it was *wood policy to see picture I.D. upon check-in so these type of incidents did not happen. But in my 20 stays so far this year I have only been asked 4 or 5 times.

So when I am not asked for I.D. at check in I ask to be checked as reminder to them. I'm not sure what everyone else's experience has been.
