Back from the dead thread. Long story short, took a paid BF flight from Europe to EWR today. CO put us in 4th row, but in order to ensure my sisters got a good choice of meals, I had us moved to 2B,2E,2F.

Both my sister's wanted the fish, but were told it was out. No one in the first row had chosen it, but, fine they both grumbled with the "pasta bowl" Only to notice that over the course of the flight, 3 pilots/co-pilots come to take their meals in the empty BF seat (the fish) and two FAs eating their meals on their breaks (the fish.)

Honestly, I don't begrudge the flight crew from eating what they want. Certainly it isn't fair for them always to get the dreaded "pasta bowl" but my sister noticed and asked me about it and since I persuaded her to fly CO with me instead of an airline she preferred, I'm left feeling a little annoyed for her sake at least.

I would write CO and complain, but honestly I don't think they give a crap and it's not the most important thing in my life but at $5K a ticket, you'd think they could figure out something a little better.
