I can tell you if you travel with kids, you will often be passed over and your order will be taken LAST. This has happened more than once for me with my girls (who, BTW are not young, 13 and 15, and both Gold elite). In 3AB,4AB on a 777 recently, the flight attendant went in this order: 1AB,2AB,(skipped us), then went thru middle section, F to B, to 5AB, did the entire other side F to B, then came back to us last. Has have happened a few times in similar order. Especially difficult as one daughter eats ONLY seafood, and other eats anything BUT.
It's enough to make a person paranoid!
