From reading FT I always thought that there was a policy of taking meal orders from the front of the BF cabin to the back. Possibly with a preference to Platinums / other elites.

On a recent flight the BF FA took the meal orders in a very random order and by the time she got around to me (row 2 / one of the first to board) two of the four choices were already gone. Although it did not ruin my day, I was a little angry that my first choices were not available.

Does anyone know if there an actual policy for this or is it up to the FA's to do what they want?
