HHonors had very little value for me until I became a Diamond. I found the points were generally not redeemable at the desired properties at decent times/places of the year until I became a Diamond. If I were to lose Diamond, I'd generally dump Hilton since I found the points were impossible to redeem for 6-night awards as a non-Diamond.
